This Spring the Perrysburg Professional Firefighters Local 3331 was proud to award a $1000 scholarship to two Perrysburg High School Seniors. These two young ladies exemplify hard work and dedication with a passion for wanting to serve the community in the future.
Taylor Sherman is our second recipient. Taylor is currently enrolled at BGSU majoring in nursing with an end goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Taylor attended Penta her final two years of high school where she was enrolled in the Medical Technologies program and earned her Nursing Assistant License prior to graduating. While excelling academically, she was involved in HOSA (Future Health Professionals) where she held the seat of secretary for her final two years. Taylor proved her strong work-ethic in the multiple jobs she was holding down while still attending high school. Taylor attributes having her dreams in healthcare from her grandmother, mother, father, and cousin who are all in the healthcare field and have taken them under her wing. We wish her the best!
